I believe that these projects’ outcomes can be greatly improved if and only if a deeper understanding of each distributed team’s social and cultural habits, and their motivations. On the other hand, I believe that the scope of work split should mirror the product’s architecture, to some extent, with clear boundaries and responsibilities.
